Honey Tree Publishing

I have a bit of a fetish. I love stationery. By which, I mean I adore it. You’ll know this already if you’ve read my Pencil It In post.

In today’s supersonic digital world, stationery seems to be falling away. People no longer write letters and to be fair why would you when you can email or text in seconds. But I do miss pretty notelets and beautiful paper with matching envelopes… I will still ooh and ahh over pastel journals or illustrated diaries even though I no longer use them. Don’t get me wrong, I’d weep if someone took away my iPhone, but sometimes paper and ink and card are what’s called for.

When we moved house I took the opportunity to get some bespoke Change of Address cards made up. I love this sort of thing. That’s when I found Honey Tree Publishing and fell in love. FELL IN LOVE I TELL YOU.

The process was very easy! I selected the design I liked (the red post box) and was able to personalise everything including the ink colour, font and layout. I must have proof read them 16 times and even then got my husband to double check. Prices vary depending on size, colour and whether you’re buying cards or postcards. Like every printing company the more cards you order the better value they are.

When they arrived it was like they’d sent us a gift! Packaged in a beautiful box hand tied with ribbon, it added to the excitement of moving house. It made it all seem very special. I’ve kept a card with a copy of the house details. I’m sentimental like that.

Obviously they offer a wide range of stationery for just about every occasion you can think of. They even have a special ‘Wedding Boutique’ where you can order everything from the invitations to Order of Service.

They also run a Stationery Lovers Club! A subscription service where you sign up and pay at set intervals of either monthly, every quarter, 6 monthly or annually. In my teens I’d have been all over this like a rash but as I’ve said I simply don’t write that much anymore. But if you think it sounds like your kind of thing you can check it out by clicking here.
