I love Afternoon Tea. I love the weeny crustless sandwiches and the scones with clotted cream and jam. I like the dinky pastries and miniature cakes. I like that I can drink an entire teapot’s worth of tea and nobody lectures you about caffeine. They positively encourage it!
So I was delighted to skip off to the beautiful 16th century Langshott Manor to enjoy one of my 40th birthday presents, a Champagne Afternoon Tea with one of my closest friends.
I was too busy scoffing the yummy offerings to take photos of the food so this quick attempt will have to do.
Afterwards we had a lovely stroll around the gardens before heading back. I think this time of year is probably the best time to visit as everything in the garden seemed to be at its best. What a lovely, relaxed afternoon.

It looks very nice and relaxing. I would be enjoying eating too and not thinking about photos, going by the photo you taken.

I can take photos of flowers but the food disappears too quickly! 🤣🤣🤣

That looks delightful. What a lovely spot. The only proper Afternoon Tea I’ve had was for a significant birthday at the Ritz Hotel in London. I should do it more often.

I just think Afternoon is the best thing ever! 😆 I’m going for another one in a few days with my mum (a belated present for her birthday). Cannot wait!! x

I’ve decided today that I’m going to have afternoon tea and see a matinee at the theatre for my birthday in February. Just need to decide what I want to see and who to invite.
