Absence

Apologies for the absence.

To touch on it briefly, we have suffered a close bereavement. In early September one of the kids in our family (not mine) passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, and we have all been trying to navigate our way through the unspeakable shock and loss. I really don’t want to discuss it on here as my blog has always been, very deliberately, light hearted and positive and whilst it is obviously very personal to me, I have shied away from delving too deep or being overly serious on it. Besides, I think grief is one of those how-deep-is-the-ocean topics whereby anything I would or could write wouldn’t do any of it any justice anyway. I also want to respect the privacy of those most closely affected.

I plan to return to the blog in the New Year.
